Good job against the Bengals. The espionage was successful!

I understand to think why cheat against the Bengals.

I heard a comment on the radio that makes sense. The Bengals coach is a new head coach and the Patriots want to create a portfolio on him and his signals for future reference.

It is the end of the dynasty after the Patriots go one and done in the play offs. Brady is leaving after this year (according to some) and Bill will finally get even with Kraft for making him trade Jimmy G.

Patriots will be left with Stidham at QB, a motley group of receivers and a champion caliber defense unable to operate without Belichick.

Or.... they emerge from this ridiculous situation unscathed, figure out the offense and make a title run and follow it up with a 14 win season next year after they pick up a legitimate outside deep threat and trade Stephon Gilmore for a top 5 TE.

I would thing that a lot would have to do with how his body feels and his family life. it certainly can't be amount money. his desire to win and love for the game would be his motivation. being the most winning quarterback there might be a satisfaction on his part to go out on top. I don't follow football much but from what i have seen it looks like the younger guys are much more nimble. can he still get the job done? you bet! but perhaps not week after week for sixteen weeks. it would also have to do with his "what after football" game plan.

Stories in the Boston media say his wife wants him to retire but he is not quite ready.

Reports are he us looking for a 2 year, elite quarterback deal ($30M per year) with the majority guaranteed.

Also rumors he may go wherever Josh McDaniels goes to be the head coach if that team is needing a QB.

But only TB12 really knows for sure how this will end.

Agree. It's not just about changing teams, it's largely about relocating the family. I'll bet she'll have a say in that....

I suppose it depends on what his goals are. If he is trying to "win one more", then it seems unlikely he'd go with McDaniels to a basket case team to help with 2 years of building a team. Nor would McDaniels want to build a team around brady for two years just to see him retire and then have to start over.

Maybe this could work in Washington, if they think Haskins has potential but needs two years as the under-study.

Still, 30M a year is a lot to pay for a bridge to the future unless you think you have serious chances to put a good season together. Also, I'm sure (after this year) that he'll make a talented O-line and receiving corps a high priority if he goes to another team. Dude is old! He needs protection.
