favorite feather weight windbreaker?
I had the best one ever from REI but the zipper malfunctioned. I have a Pearl Izumi normal weight nylon vest and something in similar weight for long sleeve. But I also like a super light weight one for layering. Could be polyester too. Quick quick wrap and fit into jersey pocket.
Don't talk to me about convertible with removable sleeves. Don't care about water repellant either. Just a simple feather weight windbreaker for 185, 5'11 with protruding belly button.

The original Patagonia Houdini, although it wasn't specifically made for cycling.

My favorite is from Craft. Red, full zip, breathes pretty well but keeps the wind off, stuffs into a jersey pocket easily.
I have one from Mavic when they tried making clothes. Similar but a little boxier in cut; could work well for you. I'm 6'4" and ~190# and it's a little short on me. Have you looked into repairing or replacing the zipper if your old REI one was the best ever? |

I have a Giro but do not remember what specific one it is. It is thin, very light and highly vented in the back. It works very well at blocking the wind. I use it down to low 40's when wind velocity is about 10 mph or less. If it is lower temp or higher winds I have a Saucony jacket with thin waffle type insulation that also works very well.

The current one actually has a better cut for both running and cycling than the past couple versions IMO Might lean towards more water resistance than breathability but I haven't had it that long to know yet. Feels nice.

Voler Sage. 3 pockets, well made, fits well, good protection, and very light.

I also love the Velocio Ultralight jacket. Super light and packable but with a big durable zipper and warm for what it is.

No worry
I find hoods to be terribly useful in many situation both on and off the bike, and can usually tuck it under the collar if need be. |

Don't think it's as "feather" as the ones already mentioned and the price point sorta informed that. But get what you like, that's important!
My favorite: https://www.gore-tex.com/outerwear/mens-oro-jacket Mine is an older version, and I didn't pay retail. I know you said water repellence is not a concern but I actually use it more as a windbreaker. I know black is not a favorite color but I don't mind.
