OT: 2018 MLS Cup

Great win by Atlanta United to cap off an amazing season. Atlanta needed this win too; been a long time since this city has had a championship :-)

i didn't know that being 11th in the Serie A is considered great, but whatever floats your boat

kidding. they did play better than Portland and created most of the chances, but man that was a bit ugly to watch. I think i'd have preferred watching USMNT

It's been a long time since we didn't lose it all in the last few minutes.

73,019, officially. I have been to several matches there, with similar attendance numbers, and the atmosphere is unbelievable.

I was at the cup game, and it was my first MLS match that I've attended in Atlanta.

I love the game, but have been hesitant to attend...I thought the atmosphere was going to be Premier League cosplay. That has been my experience in other cities, but the atmosphere was uniquely Atlanta! I'll be back next season.

I've been to three ATL United home matches. Two with 70,000+ and one that had the 300 level of the stadium closed off to only have 40,000+

All three were incredible. I am not a huge soccer fan, but have been watching significantly more the last three or so years, and even more so after attending these games.

Honestly has been the best atmosphere I've been to at sporting events, including student section for big wins at Mizzou when we rushed the field after and some of the first season for Mizzou in the SEC.

If you're even remotely considering going to an ATL Utd game, you have to go. It's incredible.

Gee I hate to be the old guy...but guess I am. I'd like to attend, but am I correct that you have to stand the entire game?! Not sure I can handle that or really want to. None the less...proud of the team. Makes me feel not so bad about the Falcons.

You could get a front row seat on the second or third level, then you could sit and watch :-)

Or I could apply for the Head Coach position, I hear they're looking.

MLS as a league doesn't deserve the fan support that it's teams get.

if that's the case, they're aiming low. PL is currently the top EU league with the worst stadium atmosphere. ever. Ban on standing up, x-thousands of quid for a season ticket, 20+ quid a match to watch it on the telly. But hey, we get to see Drogba. And Fellaini. And Lukaku.
