EPS V3 Power unit Firmware

Bought a EPS V3 kit during the summer (Used). Switching over a Super record Mech to EPS super record. I have another bike with V1 Super record.

All the parts are installed and wiring completed. Powered everything confirmed movement and before I install cranks and finally wiring finishing I wanted to update all the firmware to the latest BUT!. My power unit is on the original firmware and it will not allow me to update. Says I need to take it in to a shop.

Does anyone know a work around for this.

Thanks
Harold

interesting - that's what a shop told me- that the dealer needs to do this but I'm almost certain that the update was downloaded and applied a few weeks ago by my app.

Gave Dan a call and I have no alternative but to take the bike to a dealer to have that firmware installed. After that I can do everything myself.

Since i am on the east coast, Dan gave me the number of the rep here because there a few shops that can do this.

I am glad I did the swap now and not in the summer when I wanted to ride the bike.

I`ll update after i get it done
