Remove clear coat overspray?
I got a crack in my top tube repaired and re painted! The job done was fantastic frame was painted to factory and not even noticeable. Only problem is it looks like there was some over spray from the clear coat process. My bottom tube feels grainy like sandpaper
Any idea what I could to to remove clear coat over spray without ruining the clearcoat itself? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Since it was just repainted, an automotive clay bar (Mothers, Megiuars, etc.) should be able to remove the overspray.

I used to spray bath tubs and when I would encounter overspray I would wet sand with 4000 grit emory cloth
Working my way up to 8000 grit, the I would wax the area and then buff/polish to shine a reflection |

If you’re not familiar with use of clay bars, be sure to use a lubricant to avoid damaging the paint. Soapy water works well. |

I would try this too. I like the Megiuars a bit better but you can get all kinds of “grit” from other vendors.

Even just a clear coat compound from local auto parts pace and some elbow grease fix you up..

Yes, you would want to use a compound after clay anyway. Clay does seem to eliminate surface contaminates with less fuss but the compound will finish the job. A good wax will make it purdy too.
