Pub Carbon Fiber wheels ~$250 www.the-house.com

I found this site, www.the-house.com this morning, and they have many deals on framed bikes. From the reviews I have seen, the bikes review well. They also have some carbon wheels manufactured by a company called Pub that seems to be Framed's house brand. My guess is they are open mold type stuff, and the hubs look to be bitex, but some of these would be around $250 shipped.

The 55mm deep ones caught my eye, and while 1700g isn't light, I can have my lighter 45mm Nextie/DT 240 wheels on the SS Evo for climbing, and put these 55s on the Felt AR for more flat riding.

I can't find much in the way of reviews on any of the road wheels, but most everything I read about their gravel, MTB, or fat wheels seems good. Worth the risk? Safety is my biggest concern, but I assume something backed up by framed and the the-house store would be safe.

Not sure about the wheels, look like mass produced carbon wheels from china like many others around. For that price they could be good. I have a no branded set from amazon that has been great.

I have ordered snowboard and surf stuff from thehouse before.
Let us know how do they look if you buy em.

Cheers

Thanks! It did say, "made in USA," so I would assume that maybe the quality control and safety aspect would be good. Most Chinese rims are pretty established at this point I would think.

Where on the referenced web page does it say "made in USA?"

The other Pub branded wheelsets they're selling say "Assembled in USA"

Seems like the company is in Minnesota. Nothing I could find about being made in America though

Yes, I wasn't implying the carbon parts or hubs were made in USA. Maybe I should have said assembled, which I would still assume is better QC. This is the same thing that many companies here do.

Some of the Pub wheels say "HANDBUILT IN THE USA", and have 5 year warranties on the rims and one year warranties on the hubs. The other Pub wheels say nothing about being made in the USA and have 2 year warranties on the rims (no mention of warranty on other parts), except one set that has a 90 day warranty.

Pub looks like the house brand for Framed Bikes, which is indeed based in MN but offers what I guess are open mould mainland Chinese bikes. I have no impressions on the company either way.

They do appear to be having blowout sales on their rim brake wheels, which goes a bit towards explaining the very low price.

More info about them here: https://pubwheels.com/

I live in MN and see their bikes and wheels frequently but have never owned any. Everything they make seems beefy...

I suspect there's no info on these wheels because no one bought them, which is why they're now marked down so much.
