Stelbel SB/03 Disc

After upgrading my C64 to EPS V4 12s, I had an EPS 11s disc group that needed a home. I decided it had to be traditional geo, Italian (keep the streak alive) and steel to compliment the two carbon frames for the occasional commute. Then came a global pandemic - no commuting and significant production delays from Bergamo.

Well my new project finally made it state side after a year of waiting. The color scheme was inspired by the gulf racing team. Looking forward to attempting my first solo build. Here are some pics of the frameset:

This is awesome! I love the matchy bits w/o overstated graphics! Sounds like a quality groupo for the build. GL with your first solo effort and I cant wait to see the result.

Lovely. Stelbel’s are so great. The panto on the head tube is just such a nice touch.

Damn that is cool. Much more subtle on the gulf theme than most and I like it!

What a great way to enter 2021 and congrats!

Stelbel SB/03 Disc

Thanks for the feedback. I am really happy with the way this paint scheme turned out. The blue is killer and seeing another custom paint job turn out as expected is a relief.

As far as the build goes, I am enjoying it very much. I made a few amateur mistakes, but managed to get all the cables and houses routed. Not too bad for an anemic tool kit consisting of a Silca allen kit, housing, wire and long fingers

did you buy direct from Stelbel? Just curious how the experience was, and any tips or tricks. These guys light my fire, so to speak.
