Difference in shifting with short vs. med cage on 11-28?

I have two bikes, my A bike is my regular ride and B bike is my rain/trainer ride. A bike has a Sram Force Med R. derailleur and B bike has a Sram Force short R. derailleur. Both bikes have an 11-28 cassette. Would shifting really be any better if I swapped the short cage to my A bike? (just got the Sram Force for the A bike). I don't have enough time on them to tell a difference.

The shifting may be a tiny bit faster and the system will be less prone to chainslap, but not worth the hassle for its own sake.

That's what I thought. Thank you!
