Favorite gravel wheels?

Looking for something in the tubeless 700c flavor that will take up to 42s. Not partial to any material, but bonus points if you are using them with Ekar.
What suggestions do you have?

Those FLO's for gravel? I don't care how they market them. 1900g and 55mm depth?? Better be pan flat and hard packed dirt.

Need to know more to make recommendations. Type of riding, budget, lightweight or Clydesdale etc.

Right now:
Beginning my gravel experience. Rides so far have been on gravel roads with varying surfaces. Some pretty packed & wash boarded, some looser. I know that doesn't help much. Not sticking to packed trails, but not planning to shun them, either. Pace would be considered "party" in most places. Enjoying the different views.
Like to stay $1K or less, but for the right wheels I'd go a bit higher
160lb but am too high. Better at 145-153
Am a Campy guy & leaning to Ekar & 13 speeds

As mentioned, as the N3W yech is going to wheels now, 'maybe' hubs eventually but hard to beat either Campagnolo or Fulcrum for a GREAT wheelset = EKAR/13s...

The Shamals have been mentioned, but I'm only seeing them taking up to 30s. Am I looking at the wrong ones?

The WR38 rim mated to a DT350 hub with Pillar spokes makes a solid gravel wheel. 25mm inner width, hooked rim with closed rim bed. Priced a bit below your range.

If you're going to go 'deep' I'd go 303s. Sidewalls on the rim are designed to flex for Paris Roubaix

I've got 411s on my gravel wheels
I've got R470s on my gravel wheels
I've got Belgium Blacks on my gravel wheels

They all go round and round

Riding, driving, or anything else off-road, ya gotta pay to play so only run what you can afford to replace

Plus one on the HED emporia GA wheelset. Paired with gravel king sk 35mm tires gives a nice wide profile and weighs in fairly light for the price!!

I’ve been running Gravelking 43s on my Shamal Carbons without problems.

Yep. Flos are for gravel. They ride great and climb pretty well. I’m not a natural climber at 6’3” and 190lbs, but I still can manage OK. If you want a wheel with a wider internal diameter, there will be a weight penalty. I also think the aero profile makes sense. Of course it’s going to weigh more, but when you average 15-17mph on a gravel ride, aero can make a difference. I’m also not at 6% body fat so a handful of grams isn’t likely to make much of a difference.

I use the HED Emporia wheels and they have been flawless. For Ekar, the new Campy Shamal Carbon look pretty sweet.
