Cinelli 1A is the predictable answer. 3T? Another safe bet. The non predictable exotic beast? An ITM Goccia w/ the itm super italia bar. I happen to like the itm bend.. it´s the early 90s chooice and the goccia stem in all it´s gothic nonsense splendour is a looker.

I had a merckx that used step down ferrules at either end. It was internal top tube routed but then there was a sleeve inside the guides that only allowed the cable to pass thru.

Also let me know if you end up going cinelli and need bars. Im sitting on some giro d italias with and without the groove and was just looking at em today thinkin I should list these.

Other wise very nice pics and would be a great retro/ alternative build.
Yes, that's a Sachs New Success RD. They were also branded as Regina.

definitely incorrect in this case. i passed an inner cable right through, so there is definitely an internal tube.

now to find the correct step down ferrules.

oye!

When installing the cable through the top tube use liberal amounts of lube. I fought a corroded cable, that was stuck in an old Masi for six months...and lost. Was forced to run the cable external with clamps.

The Last one i had they had just pealed the outer of the housing for about 3-5mm and used as it was without issues. Dont know if it was a special brake housing or what but seemed to work just Great and was old and well used.

Shoot me your address at rccardr@cox.net and I’ll mail you a couple.

Assume you need two for brake cables and one with the slightly smaller ID for the RD cable?
