Red face Palm phone

Anybody try one yet? Saw this thing over a year ago but it looks like they are readily available now. I may try. Seems perfect for not only cycling but as an everyday phone. My favorite phone ever was a Samsung that was business card sized and just a tad longer than this One.

No, I would be interested in it if it were not an android OS. I just not a fan of the android OS.

If you are interested in these minimalist phone check out the Light. My buddy has the original version and liked it.

I believe that phone is originally used to be a sidekick to your actual phone. So instead of having a simpler setup, you now have 2 phones. Phrase doesn't sticko ut, but Eeee - "Perfect for taking a break from your big phone."

What's old becomes new.

I'm still using an iPhone 5s that is pristine and won't die and is about that same size.

I keep thinking about that Palm phone, as I would really like to have one device that would serve as both a cycling computer and small phone.

The Palm appears to be as small as a cycling computer, but I have been deterred by its limited battery life and the concern that its screen would be hard to read in the bright Arizona sun.

Bicycling magazine did an article on it and it almost swayed me towards picking one up . . . but not quite.

Just get an Apple Watch. Pay the extra $10/mo and you have a phone on your wrist that you can use to make emergency calls even if you leave your iPhone at home.

iPhone se user here, I recently went Apple Watch 5 cellular - that’s the small way to go! I really love the redundancy 😁 of a phone at home and on my wrist.

I really like my small I Phone SE for my use. Hope there is a replacement when it dies.

Ah. Nice. I've been waiting for something like this.

My brother had the OG zoolander-ish phone back in the day Panasonic GD55.

I have a phone for work, so my personal phone doesn't need to be overkill. I'll be looking more into this!

Thanks!

I think there is a reasonable case for this for people that use their mobile device for work. It no longer manners where you are. If you have your phone with you, you are in the virtual office. Emails, calls, texts, Microsoft teams, WhatsApp, HRIS, proprietary company apps. I know the amount of notifications that I can get in a given day can be extraordinary. In today’s remote work environment, these people don’t even know that you are “off the clock.” I manage through it but I can see why some might want to leave their primary device off but still have a simple device for connecting with personal contacts. The Apple Watch does present a compelling solution.

I had this little GD55 phone back in high school. The novelty was only in its size other than that, it wasn’t a great phone. Got awful reception.
