I think it uses ant +, but I’m not for certain. It’s easy to setup with a menu option on the garmin and it forms a light network.

It also unclips from its mount and can be used on another bike by slipping it on a strap of a saddlebag.
Currently running a Hypershot 250 (seatpost) and Hotshot 200 (non-drive side rear axle). Each at different flashing cycles. I ran a number of lower lumen units and when the 200 first came out, I had a problem with one of older units well out of warranty and they fixed it for free. Extra mounts are easy to get also including one for a rear rack.

As an aside, I found running two flashers on different cycles far apart got noticed more often with cars giving a noticeable wider space.

new dinotti

The new Dinotti light is smaller and very powerful.
You should at least give it a look. I have both, old and new styles.

I recently started using the Light and Motion Vya Pro with the seat rail mount and am really happy with it. Hides under the saddle and the light protrudes between the saddle and saddle bag. Very clean and unobtrusive setup.

Also a fan of the cygolite hotshot 100. Mine has been going strong for a few years.

I’d rank the Cygolight Hypershot 350 up with the Dinotte...more affordable and better customer service too.

thanks for the tip! looks like a great unit. i'm shopping for new rear light and have unfortunately given up on dinotte. started a separate thread on their service issues, and sadly i had to dispute a charge. got refunded, but the $ amount was trivial and that's def. not the point. i just wanted to buy a few spare parts, as well as shopping for another unit. would've been plenty happy to wait weeks or even a month or two had even just slightest return message been offered. a half dozen or so very patient messages via email & phone into the company met with nothing but radio silence. oh well.

How recently did you get the new Dinotte? As I noted in the other Dinotte thread, there has been no response to repeated inquiries to them about a service/product issue, If there was some temporary issue that disrupted their business I can get that, but I am ready to move on to either the 350 Hotshot or one of the others mentioned in this thread.

new Denotti

Hi,

I bought it about one year ago. The company was very good on delivery time and the light is truly great. I have had other cyclists comment on how bright it is. The new light is a significant jump in technology since their first version.

I have found that there are general slow downs in shipping from any number of vendors (Books, base layers, etc.) over the past few months. I reckon many people are ordering items on-line that they would normally buy in person.

Denotti seems to be a smaller company but their product is first classs.

Patrick
