DiNotte Lighting: still MIA?

A thread here a couple of months ago focused on how DiNotte had ghosted several customers, neither responding to communication nor sending items already paid for.

I love our DiNotte taillights and want to buy a couple more. But, has anything changed since the problems cited earlier this year?

(And if DiNotte lights are no longer, what’s your choice for number two?)

Dave, who also wonders if covid has infected the DiNotte fellow

it's too bad if they just up and vanished. at the very least a parting note, or notice of service suspension on their website would be nice.

i had a set of their wired lights ages ago, the ones with the external battery pack, and at that time, they were second to none.

honestly, this latest news seals the deal for me - i would no longer be a customer.

covid can not be the catch-all excuse for companies. if they can not ship or manufacture for whatever reason, the least they owe their customers and potential customers is honest notice of such. if they are willing to just say nothing at this time that says a lot about their customer service approach in general.

IMO of course.

Haven't been following the other threads, but IIRC, DiNotte's customer service was always a little lacking.

That being said, Let's just hope that the current pandemic hasn't affected anyone there health wise. These things can happen suddenly without warning and move quickly. They're a small company. Most small companies I know don't have the best, if any, continuity plans.

Looking forward to hearing good news and hoping the best for them.

Drats! I was just about to contact to get additional seatpost mounts. Anyone holding for 30.9 or 27.2? I'd be happy to trade the other sizes/shapes I have.

Keep in mind a huge majority of companies don't really ship or manufacture anything anymore.

They are just marketing stuff they contract Chinese suppliers to build for them.

It makes it a lot harder to control situations like "you know what" going on right now.
