Just found this thread from another post.

I did this ride.

One month to recover and I'm still not sure I'd do it again.

I was so out of shape that I would not even have tried it. My house was on the route though and I had some friends stop and drop off extra clothing they didn't need anymore.

Ouch - you can blame Donalrey on this board for making the route!

It was hard for the sake of being hard. Much of it was beautiful and should be left in, but there were sections put in just to make it hard.

They're supposed to be hard. The ones I've done out here (CA) have all included difficult sections, both technical terrain and steep ascents (occasionally both). As I (and others) have said, if you're not cursing the course designer at some point during the ride then it's not a Prestige.

I would do it again in a heartbeat. It was hard, yes, but overall quite enjoyable. The only thing I did not like was the gravely, loose, ATV descent. Probably because it was wet, but yeah. That wasn't fun. Would have liked to have gone up it rather than down it.

Can we talk about Arthur's post ride feast?!?! Now THAT was truly incredible!
