Foundry Flyover Titanium
This will be my first Ti bike, to be built as 1x all-road.
![]() The frameset came to me with an Enve Gravel Fork and an industry-first modification, the DSKCD™ - Drive-Side Knee Clearance Dimple. I believe this dimple will be highly functional for me during dismounting/remounting, and provide direct benefit for a future owner with a supinated right ankle. It's double- and tripled-butted 3AL/2.5V Titanium and weighs about 1700g. There are hidden fender mounts, electronic ports and internal DT routing. The stock build for this bike came in at 17.8lb, and it should hopefully come up around that figure again once built. The parts-gathering has begun in earnest, thanks in part to the slammin' PL classifieds and its wonderful participants! Mulling over tyre choice (it takes 42s maximum) as I want it to feel comfy and quick but have plenty of grip through a snowy slushy NY winter. Not planning to fender it up just yet. Foundry always had well priced options that never seemed to get much attention. This looks like a nice foundation for a straight forward build!

That’s a great frame! Rides wonderfully and can be used everywhere. Enjoy!
Here is a pic when I had mine ![]() |

Oh that looks sharp with the white tape and rim logos! The matched Whisky fork has long gone from mine.
Absent when I got the frame were the rear flat-mount caliper bolts - not sure what length I need to fit the GRX calipers, and I’d like to get Ti bolts if possible. Any measurement tips or sources for bolts appreciated. Last edited by Mr B; 11-20-2022 at 02:47 PM. |

Thanks for posting that. I saw another guide that recommended leaving only 5-7mm of bolt exposed, but I see the diagram above has the lil nipple on the bolt as if it’s going into an adapter. I believe my caliper will mount directly to the frame (running a 140mm rotor), unless anyone knows different?
Flat mount is 25mm deep. Last edited by Mr B; 11-20-2022 at 07:17 PM. |

This is coming along, should be buttoned up real soon. The frame has responded very well to some red scotchbrite...
![]() ![]() ![]() Most parts are on deck, including a few great PL deals. Other goodies include some Italian tyres (on American rims) and British brake rotors. ![]() ![]() The drivetrain is a mix; mostly GRX 812 with SRAM Force 1 cranks that I stripped raw, adding an oval chainring. ![]() Last edited by Mr B; 01-09-2023 at 05:56 PM. |

Sweet looking frame, looking forward to seeing it here built up!
Is that 1700g including the fork? Quote:

1700 was the approx weight of just the frame, with a few feet of old hose & cables, plus TA.

Enjoyed re-brushing this thing. It's beautifully made, I'm looking forward to getting it built.

What are you using to re-brush? Just a Scotchbrite pad?
