Fact or fiction?

Is there any substance to the notion of: ideally if you're in the drops or hoods, the bar should block your vision of the front axle?

IMO that's fiction, because everybody is different unless you have a really short fit.

Well, it's interesting, because both of my rather well fitting bikes exhibit this phenomenon, so just wondered if there was a correlation.

Like KOPS it's a basic place to start from as a notion because one day someone noticed it. It indicates the possibility of reasonable fore and aft balance, but since we're all different, that is all.
