the nose on my swallow rocks!
after 20k plus on my brooks swallow
i noticed there was movement at the nose of the saddle. after adjusting the tensioning bolt lowering my seatpost a bit ...no matter what change i make after a few hundred more miles what i perceive as 'a natural looseness' comes back into play. it actually is more comfortable with a little give there... has anyone else noticed this on their brooks saddle?? i guess i'm looking at it as having developed a custom fit that can't really be found in any other saddle.

Same here
My swalow does the same thing. Very comfy! I did have to lube it a bit to stop an anoying creaking.

In my case, I usually appy a little lube up where the tensioner slips into the nose piece.
It just stops the creak of Ti on Ti. Silicone or Teflon work best. No big deal but sometimes after a lot of miles every little creak annoys. |

Took mine off the bike. Cleaned the rails. Siliconed the tensioning mechanism. Wasn't enough lube. Put a couple of drops oil on mechanism. Creaking stopped.
Also removed, cleaned, and anti-seized the seat post. Bike has been quieter since. Hope this helps. Arch |
