How about trying a bit of Thermoworx Blackmorph? That’s one of those mouldable plastics which softens in hot water. Quite hard and pretty
strong at room temperature. Not too expensive, available on the Bay and quite fun to play with too.

I'm thinking of doing this on a frame I just picked up - out of curiosity, what kind of bend did you have in the RD housing through the bottom bracket? Was it a straight shot from exiting the downtube to the chainstay or did you have to navigate around the BB at all?

FYI......very small "O" rings and a small piece of shrink wrap are the answer here. Have done it on my Scott Plasma 3TT bike.

Really cool experiment and outcome. Thanks for sharing the journey with us!

In addition, I nearly did a double take looking at the length of the HT! It strikes me that asking folks that are on the outskirts of the right side of a Bell Curve for height for input on how a bike rides relative to guys like myself who are closer to the other end of the curve is, for this reason alone, a vodka to bourbon comparison.

Pretty cool and informative.. I suppose this wouldn't work with Campy groups right?
