Aftermarket cranks for etap AXS
Wolf tooth just announed chainrings for AXS that fit the Easton cinch crank and with more variations to come. This eliminates one of my biggest grips this AXS - the dedicated fugly crankset that costs a small fortune.

So instead of an ugly SRAM crank, you get an ugly Easton crank?
How is that progress? |

whaa...?
Easton is one of the prettiest cranks. And the best $/gram! |

Is it a double or 1x?

Uglier Easton crank... for my case it allows for wider qfactor which probably doesn’t answer your question.

I prefer my cranks not remind me of an out of control circular saw blade, also half the price of the red axs crank. And I'm generally grumpy with Sram and its obsolecence of the 2 red etap gruppos I bought last year.

Yes the 11 etap should work for quite awhile if they continue to support it - for instance been looking for red 177.5 50/34 gxp cranks for quite awhile - always out of stock -- or is it no longer in production? And if a rear derailleur craps out in a year will a replacement be avialable? Time will tell. And in the meantime I hear AXS improves the front shifting, which has been a pita on one of my two sets and is, to me, generally inferior to dura ace 9100 mechanical. Maybe its the shifting mechanism, maybe its, as my local mechanics claim, the inferiority of Sram chainrings as compared at least to Shimano, or a combination but am improvement on that score would be welcome. The reason I like the aftermarket crank movement is to move away from the SRAM chainring combos, and I surmise the same will happen with aftermarket cassettes soon. |

Have to say that I like my AXS crankset, I think it looks pretty cool. Unfortunately, mine is scratched up already though.

But also agree with Greg that it'd look really weird on a classic steel setup. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
