I have to go with Simon Yates since he earned my fandom in last year's Giro. Improved TT skills and a more patient approach waiting for the third week should serve him well.

Dumoulin, Roglic, or Nibali for the rest of the podium.

As the resident Italian I am picking Nibali. Also, he has an interview on the Gazzetta website saying he is going all in for this year’s Giro.

Yates and Dumoulin to round out the podium and include some element of logic beyond blind fandom.
