I came up with the Bee Job . . .

. . . in 2001 when I bought the bike, though it was originally just because I like yellow. It was painted that way at Serotta. But when I took delivery at Belmont in Boston on July 7, 2001, a customer walking by remarked that it looked like a bumblebee, so the Queen Bee it became!

I'm thinking for the Queen Bee's 20th birthday I might have someone like Velocolour or Hot Tunes re-imagine it wi9th more details and same colors. Both places do some really nice stuff, but I really admire Velocolour in particular . . .

A buddy and I escaped the chaos of the city and completed our first century ride of the year. Actually it was my longest ride to date at about 110 miles, plus a bit extra later in the evening. The ride was so awesome. No traffic or potholes! The wind was brutal but we had a tailwind back so we were feeling pretty good. The serenity of this ride was later to be overshadowed by an evening of rioting in the downtown area where I live. So insane, did this ride and later rode to the protests downtown which soon became a riot filled with tear gas, broken windows, looting, fires, chaos, and gunfire.

Depends of the agency. But all these roads are for fire protection so they are well maintain by what every federal and state agency the land falls under. With that said there are an excellent volunteer force that maintains trails too.

Southeast Texas is also not very scenic. Flat, little shade and over developed.

But inquiring minds want to know, “What’s Ryun riding?” Is that a Zancanato?
