These are very nice.
Have a pair I use for ragbrai and other touring events. Very comfortable.

There was a thread not a few months back with info on this. I have First gen Fizik R1, those a full, heavy weight leather. Great cool and early winter shoes. Also Specialized ‘74 are full leather, lighter shoes compared to the Fizik. I think you can still find these two in the market.

Thought I read something a while back about Dromarti going out of business, but I can't find anything about it now. Seems like a lot of their inventory is marked as sold out though.

Vittoria 1976 for that perforated leather, retro lace-up look with a modern cleat interface. But there's a reason why leather is less often used these days for cycling shoes, and not just cost- I remember BITD how they used to stretch out of shape especially when wet.

Edit: never mind, they're made of "lorica". Sounds like epic material, sort of like l'eroica sounds like an epic ride, but not really the same as the original. Still, they look like nice shoes- and I'd actually probably prefer the synthetic upper to leather for long term fit and longevity, but not the OP's quest. Sorry- carry on!

Data point....I have a pair of Carnac Diagonales that are now 26 years old. They are getting pretty rough, but are usable. They no longer see daily use, but get used for rainy rides etc. The kangaroo leather sections are fine and the real wear is confined to the plastic/padding sections. I don't know of any synthetic shoe upper material that lasts anywhere nearly as long as kangaroo leather. As a pure bonus it will conform to the shape of your foot far better than any synthetic...

Those are microfiber, but I think the Republic LX was leather.
