King Cage + Wolf Tooth Collabro

https://bikerumor.com/2018/08/14/kin...-bottle-cages/

Pretty cool stuff. Wolf Tooth could easily have made their own cage. Instead they partnered with our fan-favorite MUSA company in Durango to turn out a fun and useful piece of kit. Feel good story of the day...

Nice timing! I just bought a pair of Wolftooth B-RAD bases to move my King cages down to make room for bottles + frame bag.
Silca announced something similar recently.

I just quickly want to throw this in here. Wolftooth must be on a collabo roll as they made a SpurCycle bell mount for their remote dropper control.

Yeah, not sure why it took so long for somebody to do that! I'll be ordering 2 of the steel cages to perfect the bottle placement on on my 'road' bike.

it's cool, and a better execution IMO than the silca idea. i'd rather individual holes than slots which could slide over time unless you crank them down hard.

the collaboration part i also dont really get? king just added a different backing plate with more holes in it.

either way, good idea.

Holes at the top and slot at the bottom has been done. I've been using these MSW cages on my MTB for a couple years. They work great.

it would be nice if that cage allowed mounting the bottle lower. I want one of the King Cage dropper cages, but my lbs can't get it for me so I'm holding off. Might be OBE if I can finish a couple of more frames. The idea that cages must be equidistant from the bb disregards those of us with calf muscles and knock knees.

Definitely a good idea. I have a Jones frame with two bottle mounts on the topside of the downtube. The upper mount needs to use a side load cage because of space considerations. Wondering if this will help enough?
