Wouldn't be needing that airbnb in Rutherford myself, Brooklyn ain't that far, but would your sister be accepting deposits right now, have friends interested at that price Save me from putting them all up.

I was the one who "questioned" the (sanity of the) $3-400/night that vav advised his sister first, way up in post #46! So, any deal you make with vav's sister at $3-400/per, I think I would deserve a fair "finder's fee". It would clearly be the correct and ethical thing for you to do. We can work out the details via PM.

Ah, right. Well, of course. This is Paceline after all, not Real Madrid, we have morals. Would you accept finder's fee in Campy bits? That will be going up by 2026 too
Btw, re Hierro and Ramos getting on same page, shouldn't be a problem. Ramos is the most red-carded player in Real's history with Hierro second, unless of course Hierro is annoyed by Ramos surpassing his record.

I am not 100% sure, but I think they changed that rule - right after Italy beat France.

Until 2002, the defending champions also received an automatic berth, but starting from the 2006 World Cup this is no longer the case."

I remember Blatter rescinding the tradition of the champion automatically qualifying for the next WC, but then for some reason I thought it had reverted back. Obviously not.

So, the last champion to automatically qualify was FRA (1998 > 2002).

Haha - yup Italy wins and the rules change.
Brasil won in 2002 so they received an automatic bid for 2006.

Pressure is off Brasil this year, so maybe. Saw a video of their practice and they were very loose - goofing around etc
