OT: F1, first race of the season

Gets started in a few minutes in Australia, unfortunately looks like its going to go like it did at the end of last year at the top. Hass looking good and happy to see a resurgence of Honda with RB and McLaren, hope they stay running. Going with Hammy, Vet and Max on the podium.

Haas always starts strong and then seems to miss the target with the mid-season adjustments.

Not surprised that MB, Ferrari, and Red Bull are at the front. Money wins F1 races

The race is scheduled to be broadcast on ESPN 2 at 1:00 AM EST, so it's about 5 hours away from starting. Currently about 8:00 PM on the east coast. The pre-race show is 1/2 hour earlier.

Sebring 12 Hours on now. That and last night’s WEC more interesting from my perspective.

Gotta say I’m pretty bored of watching Mercedes walk all over everyone. I love f1’s look, feel, and history but I wish they could figure out how to get more exciting racing.

I get so bored with oval racing and most of the “stock” open wheel cars look boring and are on narrow street tracks that limit the passing. Why can’t there be both pinnacle designed cars and racing that isn’t completely predictable? It’s the main reason why the tour has been so boring for years.

Quickfeet - that’s what’s so fun about Aussie Suoercars.

Super high-tech, recognizable bodies competitive races. They were even more high-tech last year, almost F1 cars with bodies.

They reverted to singke shock technology this year and Ford homologated tge Mustang to take on Holden and the Adelaide races did not disappoint.

The new F1 docu-series on Netflix is fantastic too. Better than the actual racing in my opinion.

Haven’t watched really since Schumacher was in it and Ferrari as still relevant. That was when my weekends were lazy-er and riding was not the priority.

Have I missed anything?

Nah, I’ve tried from time to time but it seems so boring now compared to then.

Shut up about the freakin tires and pass more. Poor schumy.

Yes, excellent despite Mercedes and Ferrari refusing to participate.

Yes, well done Bottas, kind of wrote him off again for the year, maybe he can pull a Nico, concentrate all his energy for one season, best Hammy, then go off into the sunset.
