I'm liking these fenders
A few weeks ago, I decided to finally put fenders on my Seven to make winter riding more comfortable. I was tired of getting a wet butt. After looking around, I got a pair of PDW Poncho plastic fenders from REI. I didn't want to spend a ton and these will be coming off when the snow is gone.
With just a few easy mods, they installed easily, especially with all the attachment points already on the frame/fork. The front fender got a little wiggly on rougher roads and the fender stay would hit the disc caliper. Instead of bending the stay more, I found these little, round, rubber stick-ons my wife used on the kitchen drawers. It worked perfectly and stabilizes the front fender nicely. No more wiggle. Jury is out as to how long this thing will stay there. I love these fenders. Yesterday, it was 60 out and the roads were really sloppy with all the snow melting. The bike stays pretty clean and I finish up a ride dry. Here's the bike after yesterday's ride - amazingly clean: IMG_20190315_173925713 by Dan Murphy, on Flickr Here's the rubber sticky between the fender stay and the caliper: IMG_20190315_174009315_x by Dan Murphy, on Flickr |

I just put these in my bike, last week. For $50-$60 they are fantastic. Pdw makes some really good stuff

Looks like you're one of the lucky ones where they actually fit well.
Some mixed reviews from our version of REI. https://www.mec.ca/en/product/5035-5...ers-%28Road%29 |

I installed a pair of City aluminums on my Zank this winter. Very easy installation, great coverage and rattle-free, but they have two faults. I like to use Sheldon Nuts for expedited install/removal. The front stays are too short to use the SN on my bike. Also, the nut on the underside of the front fender that secures the mounting tab (part that the brake bolt goes through) is very bulky. It takes up a lot of space and is the only limiter for installing larger tires. A lower profile nut would be a better choice. I used my Dremel to chew it down. All and all, not bad. I have Clement 32mm MSO tires currently mounted under the 45mm city fender model, and the brakes are a pair of Shimano R650.

Small mods while installing: - had to cut all the fender stays - had to bend front fender stay to go around brake caliper, also added small bumper - the bolt going thru the fork wasn't long enough for the Seven fork. Needed to find something at Lowe's, couldn't find stainless Again, I had all the braze-ons for fenders, so installation went well. |

Here is a pic.... Needs some work, gotta cut the fender stays because they are too long but they are working well. I get a little tiny bit of rub if I put a lot of power down, I know where it is and I know I can fix it. |

Well, look at that. Honestly, I think I prefer bending the stay a little rather than putting on a 30mm spacer. But, nice to know there's another option. Thanks. |

Those look great. I think I found the fenders for my Hampsten Crema. "City Size" would be perfect. Too bad they're out of stock, but then spring is here so I can wait.
