3 rides in at the Eastern Shore of Maryland this past week. I only took one pic, at least it's not in front of my garage or by a tree in the back yard.

First ride on this old girl. I have had her for a couple of months and finally serviced both hubs and headset. The rear hub has a coaster brake so that was something new for me to play with..... She is a bit embarrassed so say what the scale reads but no need for a diet, I love her just the way she is. Super smooth, and rolls along with just the slight wrrrrr of tires on pavement. :-) I’ll probably avoid any real hill with this one, the lack of gearing combined with the previously mentioned scale issue make her more suited for the flat lands. Maybe some Brooks bar tape and saddle and I think she will be perfect.

What would you like to know? 1941 Malvern Star (2 star model), manufactured in the suburb of Malvern (part of Melbourne Australia).

This time of year I go on mushroom hunting rides. The chanterelles are popping up all over. First pic, Jack-O-Lanterns. You do NOT want to eat those. The fungus in the mountains of Virginia are stunningly beautiful and some are tasty treats too.

Good stuff! I do some mushroom hunting throughout the year up here in the Adirondacks. Never come across any chanterelles though!
