Seat stay tail lights

The only place that I can mount a tail light in on my seat stay because I don't have enough seat post showing and my saddle bag does not work with a clip on light. I am currently using a Blackburn dayblazer 65. It is ok but the run time is not great and the charging port is on the back, so it has to removed from the bike to charge it. I recently tried a Cateye Rapid X3 which is supposed to be 150 lumens but it was much dimmer than the Blackburn 65 lumens so I returned it. The good thing is the charging port was on the end so I could charge it on the bike. Another other good options for a seat stay light?

Cygolite Hotshot. Various intensities. I was given a 350L item for Christmas and returned it, it was literally blinding. I have 4 others and they have been great. Easy on-off (which may not be what you want if you are commuting and forgetful).

I ride small frames and usually mount a light to the stays too due to space.

many/most lights include a mount to fasten them to the seat stays. on my zank i use the old trusty planet bike superflash,

lezyne makes one

Niterider Centry Aero makes a nice bright one too - and there are many more

I like my knog plus rear. You still have to take it off the bike to charge, but it's really quick and easy to do it.

I had a Cyglolite Hotshot. I think it was the 100 lumen and as you said it was blinding and there was no way to adjust the brightness, just the flashing modes so I returned it. I did like the feel of the button which is a problem on a lot of lights.
I am wondering if the 50 lumen is bright enough but not too bright.
Too bad they don't have a way to adjust the brightness.

Your frames and seat post height look the same as mine, we could probably trade bikes. The Niterider Sentry Aero looks interesting but maybe too big for a seat stay. I would be afraid it could get caught up in the rear wheel spokes.

I use a pair of these knog rear lights on strobe: (one on each stay above the rear wheel)

https://www.knog.com/product/plus-rear/

along with the lezyne pictured above, fitted around the bottom of my seat post.

So yeah, three rear facing red strobes and if i'm wearing my Lazer Z1, I also have the mudcap light on strobe as well.

I had a set of these and they just never kept a charge. Charge them up and they'd die in less than a mile of riding. Luckily bought from REI so got a full refund. I was bummed because they look super slick.

magnet only to hold it in place on metal frames while you secure with o-rings/

also, i've been on 4+ hr rides with this little thing blinking in my face as I wheelsuck the whole time.
