My best bike bud won a local 3 stage race overall on one of these with Ultegra. It was great watching guys on 5 figure bikes getting dropped all over the course

I looove these old Cervelos and this is such a clean build. It looks really, really good with the shallower wheels. Nice work.

The glancing I've done at aero charts seems to suggest that with the move to discs, tapered steerers, wider everything, aero gains have mostly been treading water the past few years. The 2012 S5 was something like 8 watts faster than the S3/S2, and the 2015 S5 dropped a few watts more but really only because of that fat handlebar. The new disc version aero bikes don't appear to be any more aero, but you get the benefits of stupider looks and extra weight.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if your build, with no cables and that new Zipp bar you have (which is apparently super fast) was only 5-6 watts slower, if any, than the new disc S5. And probably like $7K cheaper haha.

Nice build!
