I've used a SR-11 Crankset on SR-12 'train. Worked just fine for me. I have since replaced it with an SR-12 Crankset.

As I posted on this forum a few times, tandem app here. Chorus 12 with FSA' newest carbon tandem crankset. Chorus 12 shifters, rear derailleur and chain but alas, Ultegra 6800 front derailleur as the Chorus 12 front derailleur does not work with this application even with a 5mm offset derailleur clamp.

The front shifting on this tandem is fantastic even under power.

The 11s chainring teeth are wider at the root, which can cause the front shifting to hang and in testing we saw chain-suck effects with wear and tear in some cases / frame geometries. Chainring spacing is different as well, so chain control is compromised on front shift.

Front shifting under pressure is particularly affected.
