Well, my weekend warrior plan has moved to my 3/4 time job now ;-)
I am way ahead of schedule finishing my basement. And still going for long hikes with the kids. Got a new gravel bike in the works. Bought the frame last year, a close out model for quick release hubs. I had a 650B wheelset and some of the parts which were taken-off other bikes, so it needed less than a full kit to get it built. I'm going to try the new GRX RD-RX400 10 speed clutch derailleur on this one.
I'm just waiting for a shift cable kit to finish the mechanicals. Pictures taken in my bunker, I mean basement workshop. |

Non bike related.
Painting the interior of the house. Long over due. Doing the ‘cut lines’ freehand. No blue tape. I’m not in any hurry so doing it right. My wife likes it just a little TOO much 😂😂😂 |

this bike is truly a quarantine project...the wheels from Light Bicycle are delayed due to the outbreak in China (and the ripple effect of the lockdown) and the frame was abandoned in its current state in our flat in Spain ahead of that country (rightly) instituting broad travel restrictions.

In addition to getting out and riding more, I'm spending more time at home listening to music. In that vein I'm spending time testing out tube buffers. Low cost, then incoming low-mid level, and custom high end.
Then of course I'm obliged to roll some tubes as well. Rabbit, meet hole. W. |

I’m rebuilding my Moots RSL with a mechanical record 11 groupo after having etap on it. I’ve never done a Campy install before so I’m taking my time and figuring it out. I’m using it as a training run for a record 12 build I hope to do later this year.

I'm doing preliminary work for a large fencing project around my 2 acre lot. The elk invasion is more than I can stand. I've already picked up over 400 lbs of elk manure and the damage to my grass is probably extensive. I plan about 1300 feet of 6 foot tall electric fence, with at least 6 wires.
The good thing about an electric fence is posts might be spaced as far as 40 feet apart and only the corner posts bear the 200 pound tension on each wire. The big job will be gating a 20 foot wide driveway. |

I need to route an internally routed rear hydraulic hose line, and I’ve been putting it off because I’ve been cheap about getting one of those kits to make it easier.
Luckily spare time is in abundance and I suspect it may be soothing for the soul to be upset about something else for a while! |

I'm working from home and accustomed to using a standing desk at the office. I've also been struggling with my trainer setup and disliked how I had to set up the laptop every time I wanted to ride. So, over the weekend I built a two position desk for standing and riding.
I wanted something a bit different than just a table, so I went with a cantilever style angled upright. There are currently to positions, I'll probably add a sitting position soon. I'm not a carpenter or an engineer, so this is just a rough (very rough) proof of concept. I measured what desk height I would need for all 3 positions to determine what depth I would need. Using a 30-60-90 degree triangle I then knew lengths for the 2 sides. It's assembled with screw for the most part so I can disassemble it pretty easily. Sent from my moto z4 using Tapatalk |

As mentioned in another thread, I'm about to build up a Lemond Wayzata into the big tire (relatively speaking, they will be 700x35mm), all-road, drop-bar bike that I've always been curious about. With the good advice of the folks here, I ordered my chosen parts, which should all arrive this week. Then I can get started with the project.

In addition to gardening, a crafty project, cooking and riding where there are no people and few cars, I stripped and repainted a fork on an old Cannondale. I took this Criterium on trade plus cash in exchange for a complete bike. The Newbaum’s cloth tape should arrive tomorrow. Oh, and I took five minutes to figure out how to reduce the size of my photos so I can upload them on The Paceline. That was a quality five minutes.
