Wilde Rambler

I know a couple members have had Wilde bikes, but figured I'd pulse the herd to see if anyone else has..

I'm looking for a nice "all rounder" that will see mainly duty on crappy pavement here in Sonoma County and possibly some light trail work once I move up to Oregon in a couple years.. I have a Giant Revolt that I just can't get comfy one (it feel so long).. while I like a bike that feels "zippy", I'm not racing and usually have an avg speed somewhere south of 17mph.. I'm not powerful nor fast at this point..

I just watched an interview Russ at Path Less Pedaled just did with Jeff Frane from Wilde and I really like his take on bikes..

I emailed with Jeff back in November and asked if they had any plans to make the Rambler in an XXL.
I would have definitely considered one in that size(assuming geometry scaled evenly).
The smaller head tube and carbon fork look really nice and the frameset cost is pretty reasonable.

Jeff was quick to respond, which I appreciate. A local coffee/bike shop has some Rambler builds- they all look really cool...fwiw.

I didn't realize Jeff had started this company, I guess I'm pretty out of date.

The geometry on these looks amazing to me coming off my Space Horse.

There are some things I don't like on the builds, namely the Thomson stems and the Stan's wheels on some builds say 190lb weight limit which seems way too low for me on this kind of bike. It seems like it'd be easy to get those swapped out though.

But they look pretty dang fun right out of the gate and very versatile. All the "something special" of the Space Horse but with what looks like better sizing/geometry.
