Ah, the YouTube rathole. Man, I can wander aimlessly forever sitting on the couch, watching YouTube cast to the TV. I cover the whole spectrum with SNL, GCN, rally cars, Isle of Mann TT, Nurburgring, various comedy, Sopranos, outdoor adventure, skiing, etc etc etc. It is a true rathole.

Solarbaits.

Love these videos. From a block of wood to beautiful handmade fishing lure step by step in one roller session before work.

Yes, man, I like it, I've been wanting to try to do something with my bike for a long time, but my laziness and lack of knowledge have never allowed me to do it.

I'm a sucker for anything space related and PBS so I'll seek these out. Thanks!

This whole thread is dangerous but during the cold winter months I much prefer binging YouTube to the junk that's on TV these days.

Anything worth watching while I'm on the trainer?

Bicycle content, I really only watch vlog type content nowadays. Dustin Klein's channel, aptly named "Everything's Been Done", has a fun vibe, and is not taking himself too seriously. Vegan Cyclist is okay too, takes himself a little more seriously. Ted King is always good to catch up on.

TrainerRoad podcast used to be good (pre-2023), now it's a slog since Amber and now Chad left. Worth watching some of the prior episodes though.

I'll watch the race recaps for the Lifetime Grand Prix, but I'm caught up already.

Huberman Labs is interesting podcast material, goes into the neuroscience of a lot of everyday things.

Cleetus McFarland is a good one if you're into all sorts of racing and flying. Mainly about building his drag cars but there's a bunch of other awesomeness like flying his plane, helicopter, racing those ridiculous jet boats, and has some absolutely amazing giveaway cars that he films with. He bought a circle track right next door to Bradenton motorsports park (drag strip) and revamped it which he has a bunch of videos on. Dude is a class act too
