With numbers like that, you sir, are the Wilt Chamberlain of our sport/hobby. With you, as with him, mere mortals like me can only wonder how it was done.

Not my bike but exactly like it.

This bike taught me about the freedom riding gave you. All of a sudden my range increased from blocks to miles. This bike was a life changer.

My Steve Rex was really nice

I have one road bike, a Time Edge Racer, the hype about Time bikes is true.

More comfy then any steel ride I have had, best bike ever

No challenge for me. "Breezer #2" is one of the most collectible bicycles in the world. It was built for me in 1978 by the gentleman standing with me, Joe Breeze, whose own bike, known as "Breezer #1" is in the collection of the Smithsonian Institution where it is accompanied by my bike club jersey from 1972.

The first series of "Breezer" bikes were the first of a new generation of bicycles which are now commonly called "mountain bikes." These bikes (there were 10 total) are the most influential of the 20th Century.

I don't ride this bike. For the last 20 years or so it has been on loan to the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame in Crested Butte. Since the HoF is now moving to a new facility two miles from my house, I will get to see it more often.

I felt that t-shirt selection was important for this photo. I went with a pale blue number from the 1979 Pearl Pass Klunker Tour, where I rode this bike. Joe of course went with the company logo.

This Ottrott is my all time favorite bike ( of all time )

I can see why it's a favorite.

I'm inclined to think it's still the honeymoon period, but going on a year now with no signs of stopping my deep and unhealthy love for this thing.

If forced to pick just one, it would probably be this one.

But these two aren't exactly chopped liver . . . .

All three get pretty close to equal riding time, and I love 'em all.
