Campy WTO on a DA equipped bik

I really like those wheels and people are raving about them. In addition these wheels are readily available while others are impossible to get in B2B. However I still feel wrong putting them on my next build with all DA 9200. Can anyone here convince me that an ok combination?

i like etap. i would happily put a set of WTO45s on an etap bike.

ride what you want / think is best. if the WTOs are the best wheels for the job and you like your 9200, why mess with what works?

I wouldn't feel wrong about it and I'm a total bike snob. FWIW, I'm getting Black Inc. wheels on my 9200 wheels since that's what the builder recommended.

Aren't the Fulcrum Speed models the solution for those who can't abide clashing brands?

Just go with the dark labels on the WTOs and be done with it. Get the wheel set you want.

On the 33s, they’re stickers, so you can just peel them off.

Yes Fulcrum are Campy wheels that targeted the non-Campy builds.

I'm running WTOs with Sram axs. My conscience is at peace; love Campy but not compatible with arthritic thumbs so.....

I've been running Fulcrum Speed 40 on my DA-equipped Colnago C60 (rim brake) for the last 4+ years. Love them and would buy the DB version for my new bike. However correct me if I'm wrong. Rims on Campy WTO have newer profile designed for better handling of side wind right? The other thing is dark label is no longer available for Speed 40 unless I go with the ultra expensive CMPTZN version.

Bora or WTO hard to imagine a better wheel, and hard to imagine a better wheel for the price.

Get the dark label and prepare to be faster

Are the latest Speeds a different profile? I think the rim width dimensions read identically to WTOs.

I have been riding Fulcrum and Campagnolo wheels for the last 12 years, and besides the spoke pattern there are not much different in the wheels. You even get the same rebadged Campy hubs and the free hubs are interchangeable across the wheels. Here are the specs of the Fulcum Speed 40 DB, which is a gorgeous wheel in person. https://www.fulcrumwheels.com/en/whe...ls/SPEED-40-DB and the Campy Borw WTO45, rim width are the same 26.5 outer and 19 inner. Everyone knows I love Campy, but facts are facts, Campy makes Fulcrums.

I run Speed 40 DB's w/eTap on an F10. Great wheels. The 2-way fit rim is teets (if you run tubeless........which you should).

Campagnolo(and Fulcrum) have seen the 'value' of wheel manufacturing and Fulcrum wheels come OE on a LOT of bikes with the 2 'S' brand components.

Campagnolo sees that and offers their wheels with all the free hub body combos(copy to sram and shimano)...

Look at it this way, it a first step to step away from the dark side and embrace Campagnolo goodness..... A Campagnolo bit is like a tattoo, you'll never get just one.

My Built has WTO 33 dark label with rim brake 11s eTap. I have not ridden more satisfying road wheels.

Though the bike will only make left turns on account of the brand mismatching.
