I watched the back half of the Grizzlies - Magic game last night and it was super fun.
Was surprised that I'd actually chose to watch that, especially with Conley out.

Aaron Gordon is lots of fun to watch, and Gasol is a genius.

And forget Buddy Hield, De'Aaron Fox is going to be appointment viewing on that team before too long. That and seeing when old man Vince Carter does old man YMCA stuff. Which is amazing considering his career arc.
I'd still take Hield as a shooter.

Looking forward to when Fultz gets himself/shoulder together and reminds everyone why he was the consensus top pick and best player in the draft

Simmons feeding him is going to be fun.

Rio did Rio things in the last 90 seconds. Everyone was the best version of themselves last night in that game.

The Dubs were on TNT last night so I was happy. Even more happy to watch them be down 19 points in the 1st and 2nd to win by 20 at the end!
Great game.

The Blazers / Lakers game was.... interesting. There's some wor- that coul- best -escribe the missing element of the game.

Still, it was a fun romp with the good guys winning at the end with a last second Lillard 3-pointer from 25 feet out and a hand in his face.

Lonzo Ball moves with all the athleticism and grace of a late career Andre Miller. Plays like him too.

I don't know what that says for his career arc when a 19 year old plays like a 38 year old.

He's baffling to watch.

Don't insult Andre Miller like that!

I agree. He's got amazing court vision and is an excellent passer and rebounder. And that's pretty much it. His shot mechanics are so bad it's hard to imagine him getting better. And for a point guard, his handles really aren't that good either.

It seems that he doesn't carry the same attitude of his father, and I have no animosity towards him (other than being a Laker).

i like lonzo. despite what his dad brings, he's actually a really nice and humble kid that just wants to play.

he's got great passing vision, but in today's nba, you need to be an offensive threat as a point guard for people to take you seriously and to space out the floor. to be fair, i think it'll take time to develop - he's just barely 20 years old, and his shot will get better. he's a bit of a wildcard, though.

And now the Cavs lose to the Hawks at home.

I'm not placing any playoff bets just yet.

lebron can't score 57 points every time the cavs desperately need a victory. defensively, they're looking real bad - a lot of finger pointing goes to the coach but i also don't see the effort on the court from the players. talent-wise, the cavs are within the best in the league, just need to figure out these issues.

that OKC game was a surprise. I was convinced 5 minutes it that it was a loss.

Cavs suck. Ain't no 2 ways about it right now. They might stop sucking, but right now they suck.

They're old, they can't defend, and there's no real answers to solve those two problems.

DWade sniping at the starters is pretty fantastic though. I love early season NBA intra-team drama.
