Haha. Well the fatter pig does have big tires and much lower gearing which would come handy on the gravel.

@marciero - for sure, I think last year there were 3 or 4 elephants and I wouldnt be surprised if there were more this year. That bike is perfect dor that event though but maybe I want to do it on aomething more spry this year.

I'm thinking of changing out my ENVE fork to something that will give a bit more clearance. Really looking forward to your feedback on the Whiskey. Would I need to change to a mid reach brake? Change over would go along with going from DA 9 speed to 9000.

You would need a mid reach brake I am pretty sure. Fork is fantastic so far, stiff, light, complient. I definitely recommend it, all my other carbon forks are and have been enve 2.0s, this kind of reminds me of them but in a mid reach big brake flavor. Whisky also did a good job on how it looks on a bike with a normal headtube. The hidden fender mounts are also pretty cool.

certainly the axle to crown measurement will be different on the enve to the whiskey. if the bike is designed for the enve, you may effect the handling of the bike by using a different fork...

This.

~15mm increase in A-C is not insignificant. I guess some people don't care.

Edit: I thought the Whisky 7 A-C was 382mm, but it looks like it's 375mm. So, probably an increase of 8mm given the same headset.
