Merckx MX Leader - now with 100% more Campy

Another new frame score. Probably paid too much, but it's in really nice shape and I have been looking for one for quite a while.

Going to have Ultegra 6800 and all black everything. 58 ST c-t, 57.3 TT c-c.

Anyone have a catalog scan or know what years they produced this finish?

[EDIT:] I think it's a 1997.
[EDIT 2:] Initial build with 6800. Pics on page 3.
[EDIT 3:] Added some DA9k components and better wheels. Pics on page 4.
[EDIT 4:] Built with Record 10. Pics on page 4.

FNG scheme. 1996-97. I used to have one in that scheme, 57cm. There are lots of pics of it on here.

FNG is the color scheme of this bike. It was not a team. I've always assumed it stood for "F*cking New Guy" since only a new guy would paint a bicycle charcoal with pink and real accents.

The color scheme is doesn't make a lot of sense on paper (or in photos), but definitely pops in person. I had always thought these were black and was pleasantly surprised by the sparkle and depth of the charcoal metallic. The two tone graphics also have a nice effect of changing appearance based on viewing angle.

Also, can't decide between Campy 11 and a sub-$500 Ultegra 6800 group from Ribble. What say all of you?
