How to save money on bike stuff

I stopped reading Dan/Clean39T threads and my monthly cycling spendings have decreased 4 fold.

No, you save money by buying complete bikes for the frame or parts and tell yourself you’ll sell the unused bits to break even. Then you put the unused bits with the unused bits from the last bike that you never ended up sellling and you get two bikes for the price of one!

Buying a new car has helped me spend less on bike stuff: the bike stuff was cheaper.

The key is to buy all the nicest stuff so you can't possibly upgrade anything.

Actually, I have decided to get off the score band wagon and really onto the wear out some parts wagon big time for 2021.

Kind looking forward to rolling serious miles on the two tubeless tubular setups I did as late 2020 cooled and wetted into crud...

I don’t understand your point......

You haven’t bought anything from me in 6+ months and I barely have anything listed for sale right now?

Exactly this!

Now I'm going to stop looking at that Darimo bar and stem for my Reactor because it's about the only possible upgrade I have left

I seem to recall a Di2 XTR RD landed here in Dec. as last procurement from Bend.

Almost got the KOMs more recently, but went to CA to ride and someone else got in front of me on those. But at least it was because I was riding, and driving to and from riding in CA. More driving than riding unfortunately...

But not ju$t buying from you, looking at that Coors bike and similar bikes/posts of yours usually lights me up and cause me to spend.

You are a definite influence for better or worse...

You guys are way behind the game duh. You start a company where bicycles are needed for everyday operations. Now everything is deductable. Its like you are saving money every time you buy an item!
