Think the irony is that you have to spend (even) more to get the receipt hahaha

Yup, guessing it's a joke. But we should cancel Trek anyway. Because you know, that's what we do these days. God forbid there be any attempt at humor right now. At least they used spouse instead of wife or husband. Those terms will be banned soon too. Can't wait until we're all robots, unable to think for ourselves. #cancelculturesucks.

Spouse was an accident should have read “your old lady”

So who is suggesting that? Or is it more fun to use hyperbole to defend a position no one was attacking?
Of course it's a joke. It's just a BAD joke.

Since Trek was already cancelled for supplying bike cops, this debate is moot.

Fake News

Yes, clearly an altered photo. Why? It says Trek Store London, and the currency is US Dollars instead of GB Pounds. Sloppy fabrication. Hahaha

It's London, Ontario. I too was curious about this 'mistake'.

Thanks Makoti. +1

The "outraged at cancel culture" folks above seem to be taking deep offense to a position that no-one even embraced. At whom are you intending to to unleash that bile?

Maybe someone should start a thread about how you can no longer read Green Eggs and Ham to your children...oh, you still can...and celebrate Rodney Dangerfield (also still allowed) and still get bent out of shape on a bike site against a position nobody has actually embraced.

Or are folks upset that that "Trek" is a delicate snowflake forced to use gender neutral language in their jokes? If so, I offer my heartfelt hopes and preyers.

Success. I thought we needed something different to get riled up about besides:
  1. Disc brakes
  2. Carbon fiber

  4. Phil
  5. Riding on (and falling through) frozen lakes
  6. The possibility of fine sand on a time trial course several time zones away

My work here is done.

Orwell was on point.
It's a combo between this and the govn't depicted in V for Vendetta. Everything is governed. We'll need a voucher for laughter....of course with taxes and fees on top.

We definitely live in strange times.

I just watched V for Vendetta yesterday and phew, that was kind of surreal revisiting that movie in these times...

I have thought about V for Vendetta many times during the last year.
