We have started thinking about a feature rich saddle bag. If we do do it it will most likely have provisions for a garmin.

That served 2 purposes, I was actually trying to find a saddle bag at the time, and I was thinking about designing one as well. I searched high and low and really didn't find one I liked a lot.

So far I can confirm that it works with systems that route cables under the tape and it also works pretty well with bar end shifters. You may need to adjust the location the housing comes out from under the tape for optimal performance. We have a lot of bikes floating around the office but I don’t think anyone has older STI levers.
