11 speed shimano Ultegra/Dura chains

I need a couple of chains for the upcoming season, looks like production on shimano chains as well as a lot of there components are at a standstill? So what are my fellow paceliners using these days? Thanks all

I picked up a spare hg701 Ultegra last week from Jensonusa. Check out Excel sports too, they may be back in stock. Expect to pay mfrp though - the days of finding <$30 ultegra chains may be over for awhile.

Least expensive, compatible chain and cogset.

Like above, 105 level chain or KMC..

If you buy a kmc, get a higher line model. I tried an x11.93 and found that the elongation rate was very high. The chains only cost $20, but they weren't worth that.

I've been using YBN chains (11 speed) and quick links on my bikes for the last 2 years with out any issues.

Definitely not at a standstill, demand is impossibly high for bike manufacturers to keep up with and has been for a year now.

Don't really like using Sram chains on otherwise Shimano setups. YBN seems smoother than anything, Shimano seems to shift cleaner than anything else on a Shimano setup. KMC is fine replacement quality, and their high end chains are light and wear well.

Thanks for all the intel. currently running a kmc on the mtn. bike. Probably go with a kmc for the road bike and shimano 105 or similar for the gravel bike.

A Google search will bring up numerous sources, but quantity may be limited. DA or 105 are more plentiful.

Connex for me. They run around $35 each with the power link, which is super easy (compared to others) to install and uninstall, makes cleaning a breeze.

Plenty of Dura Ace chains available from one of my regular vendors: https://www.universalcycles.com/shop...&category=3674

There was a guy on Slowtwitch that had 20 DA 11 speed chains and wanted to only sell them in sets of 10 to avoid dealing with multiple shipping destinations. It didn't gain any interest for that many and I recall he was willing to do sets of 5 instead. Think he still has them all honestly because most people on that forum don't stockpile chains and ones that did didn't really want to buy anymore than 2 or 3 at the most imo.

Posting is here: https://forum.slowtwitch.com/forum/S...chain#p7416046

Maybe see if he's willing to sell you a few or if you're willing get an set of 5.
