new ebike motor vendor - TQ
going into Trek's newest emountain bikes. I understood zero of the tech in this article, but the system looks promising. Trek's been through a bunch of motor vendors in a short amount of time:

By all reports, these things are amazing. I have to say I'd be tempted by the Trek Fuel EXe - if it was even remotely possible to find one.

I think Specialized was leading the pack...

I have Fazua with close to 4K on it, solid. Only time went out was when I forgot to put on wheel magnet with my new 650b wheels
https://urbanbike.news/en/tq-hpr-50-...r-for-e-bikes/ Both great systems I think, both German engineering. |

Harmonic drive is pretty cool, I guess nobody else has done it because it's difficult to do it cheaply.

I've ridden the SLR Domane + hands down best drive system I have ever been on.

Fazua has already gone to version 2 which will prob obsolete version 1
Motor is now in the bottom bracket instead of attached to the battery. Makes sense but is way different than their original approach. Things are moving really fast.

I take your point...but
Not sure why folks would buy an e-bike with removeable battery as I would think most of those folks would have me-bikes that they still love to ride. (I do) And having to remove the battery each time for charging seems like a hassle. My bet is Fazua will still obsolete version 1. Time will tell.
