I just got a 2023 Domane it is a bit over 17 lbs without cages and pedals; it’s 18.1 lbs with pedals, cages, and tire kit in the downtube compartment.

The Domane and Madone lost quite a bit of weight with removal of front ISO coupler and changing rear ISO coupler so that it is fixed and non-adjustable.

if you are referring to the most recent picture in this thread, that does NOT look like the 2023 Domane with 105 Di2 I saw in my LBS.. and the bike I saw ('23 Di2, $4700) was no way near 16.5#, it was much closer to 23..

I know some people don't like the flashy new color trend, but that thing looks terrible in that color.

I'm aware that the bike I was referring to is a Madone, I sell them for a living.

which model and spec is this? I love the idea of the Domane with room for larger tires, I've just never seen one in person that felt anything close to "light".. of course I'm also not looking at the $10k+ models either..

good to know, was just trying to keep this to the topic of the Domane.. the inclusion of the pictured bike (with no model name attached) and your response might make folks think that was a Domane for some reason

Yeah, to each their own. If it were my money I'd definitely take team color RED over black but I didn't think the color took anything away from the design.....it is a very cool lookin bike in person atmo

Thanks for that clarification. I’m not familiar with the Trek product line and didn’t know that last pictured bike was a Madone.

but to your point about a 23lb carbon raod bike is valid.. I was really excited when I heard the new Domane was not going to have the seat mast any longer, but got pretty bummed when I was finally able to see the new model in a spec I would actually buy.. as I said before, I didn't ride it (it may ride "light"), but the pick up test in the shop was sure surprising from a weight point (again the 105 Di2 spec, not sure on exact weight).. weight certainly isn't everything (heck I just bought a Rivendell!), but for a new carbon road bike, it sure seemed excessive..

SLR 9 Gen 4 with SRAM eTAP Red. All black color with iridescent logo. Just switched the bars to Ritchey Streem II aero with nice Celeste-colored tape for more color/contrast. It feels pretty light on the road and holds speed better than I thought but tubes and fork are fairly aero now (not quite as good as my Madone - previous gen). Even though it was the only one in the area within 50-60 miles of me and only one in the shop, I got a $1k off the price plus I can apply a health wellness credit from my company to lower by another $1k (nice benefit we received that is annual and can be used on equipment and memberships)
