Chorus 12 arrived

Got the Chorus 12 group today. Everything comes in white boxes, with all of the expected info from Campy. Most parts are made in Italy, except the 11-34 cassette and FD that come from Romania and the brakes come from Taiwan.

Every part looks great. The largest 3 cogs are attached to each other differently than any Campy cassette I've every owned. The cogs are all a dull silver that looks like hard chrome, but who knows what it is. Does not look like zinc plating.

The new ergo levers are better than expected. The shiny black coating looks sharp. You'd never expect that the levers are aluminum. The thumb button is shaped differently than the 2018 levers that I have and so is the top of the brake hood. Reach looks to be the same.

With any luck, a picture of the 48-32 crankset out in the bright sun is attached.

You know, I used to think that about 4-arm cranksets in general, but they've grown on me. That particular crankset may not be the prettiest, but I think I could get used to it - probably not on my steel bike, though.

I mean. Looks amazing. And also the crank looks very juicy. Love everything about it.
Waiting on chorus eps 12sp.

I have the new Chorus 12 up and running on my bike. The price point is great, and the groupset works really well. The rear derailleur is particularly sharp and shifts well. From what I can tell, it has larger teeth, sits back a bit farther and holds a bit more tension. Jeff and Craig from Summer Cycles in SD installed it. Nice set up.

Gonna have to che this thing out because clearly 11 did not last too long, im still using 10. I have a potenza 11 moving around and noticed that my habits are always the same... i use 2 or 3 cogs at most, probably even a 5 speed would be ok.

Actually, the new 12 speed, particularly the rear derailleur, is an upgrade. I like the range provided by the 11-32, and you don't need to change the chain length to accommodate the different cassettes. Single cage length too I think.

Campagnolo introduced 11 speed Chorus in 2008. That was 11 years ago.

Nice to see that the Paceline retrogrouch train is chugging right along!

If you don't see that the newer groupsets simply work better than the old stuff, you aren't looking.

Sexy, love the crankset. I just pulled the trigger on a new Chorus group. Should see it by the weekend.

Looks like they modified the crank fixing bolt setup to now thread in from the nds, allowing a solid surface across the drive side’s face. I like it.
