incredible ride from Annemiek, been following her since the awful crash at the Olympics, truly inspiring how she's recovered and soared. Love the pics, as above, look like they're competing as well as having (at least some, as this is severely hard work) fun.

I think part of the reason I follow women's racing is that, um, in my naïve view, there's less likely to be any pharmaceuticals, at least I hope so

Great pics, thanks for posting!

Neat to see Ruth Winder riding well. I ride with her Mom on Saturdays and its obvious that she passed on that racer DNA to her daughters.

Lastly, cool to see many of the pro level bikes in MY SIZE

Thanks for giving us a closer look at the Giro Rosa. Much better than the usual coverage. I am looking forward to what’s coming next! Great to see Vos today.

This is so well deserved after breaking her collar bone and all those 2nd and 3rd places in Yorkshire. Still the grande dame of cycling!

Here here!

-
GC after Stage 8:

General Classification
Place Rider Team Time
1 VAN VLEUTEN Annemiek, Mitchelton-Scott 19:32:24
2 BRAND Lucinda, Team Sunweb 2:29
3 MOOLMAN Ashleigh, Cervélo-Bigla Pro Cycling 2:51
4 SPRATT Amanda, Mitchelton-Scott 2:53

Tomorrow's stage is 104.7 km with a 10K summit finish on Monte Zoncolan-- 11% avg, 22% max. Van Vleuten has a monster lead; I'll be keeping an eye on the race for 2nd and 3rd.

As impressive as AvV's TT was, the real surprise to me was Lucinda Brand's ride. She's not known for her climbing but she put in a great effort at the TT. Between that and the break today she's having a great Giro.

Also, the PMG videos are available on Youtube....they have a daily recap that's about an hour long. It is in Italian though. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCCu...t5-bp_g/videos

The lack of Giro Rosa coverage not only feels disrespectful to women athletes, but also signals that the cycling world doesn’t think they’re important.
too true

just wanted to say thanks to all for the additional coverage. the number of views on this thread is encouraging too.
