"Call Mr. Lee", Television, 1992. I was digging through some cds a couple of nights ago and came across the single from the self titled 1992 Television album. Great stuff, love the way Verlaine and Lloyd exchange leads. Need to dig out the lp and give it a listen, but I think this is the highlight. It's a song that I don't want to end, but at over four minutes, it was probably already too long for a single.

This might expand some horizons.

Abida Parveen, a Pakistani Sufi singer. Her voice.....a force is a good way to describe it.

This is a seriously good groove.

Somewhere in the black mountain hills of Dakota there lives someone who probably agrees with you! (I'm a fan of the song and a huge fan of most of the associated album).

I've been on a minimalism kick lately and have Philip Glass' Koyaanisqatsi playing on a loop in my head.

This has been rolling around in my head for a while now. It probably hits home for a lot of people...

+1 I've been listening to SJ a hell of a lot the last few years. Sad. He left some great songs.

Better Oblivion Community Center -- a few of the songs, like Dylan Thomas, stand out for me, but I've been playing the whole album. My kids pointed me to Phoebe Bridgers about a year ago.

Saw them on one of their reunion tours and the tunes from the 1992 (third) album were the unexpected highlights.
