110 bcd Shimano compatible chainrings...

Hi all,

I am curious if Shimano (or anyone else) makes a 48 or 46 tooth 110 bcd spacing chainring that is compatible with the new Shimano FC-R700 comapct crankset.

Please tell me where I can buy such an item (if one exists) and if I need different chainring bolts.

I think that if I have a 48/34 or 46/34 that I would use the large chainring more as I am a real spinner. With a 50/34 and a 12/25 I tend to run out of gears in the 34 and cant find anything low enough in the 50 to make me happy to spin at a very high cadence.

As always, thank you all in advance for your knowledge and experience,

Steve

NOS 110mm 48t XTR rings seem to pop up on Ebay from time to time and might still be available special order.

Is this compatible??? Will it look stupid??? Anything else that would work???

Thanks,

Steve

I have FSA 46/36 on my cross bike and I believe they are 110.

Why wouldn't these work?

Can't we just talk about this for a moment?

Here's another picture and a better price.

Cambria also has Race face rings:

They carry Ringle and Real rings in 48 to.

I don't know how they will look on an R-700 but the stock rings are pretty chunky so they might work quite well.

I just measured an old XTR 48t ring and it is 18mm wide below the chainring bolt hole where the ring merges with the crankset arm.

I have an XTR SG-X 48T 110mm 5-arm chainring in very good shape, it is an M900, so it is for 8-speed. The crankarm pin is missing because I ran it on a Ritchey. PM me if you would like to try it out.
