Thanks for the reminder!

We'll certainly get a good helping of racing in the first weekend of the Spring classics season.

since everyone here is so well-learned, this is just one pet-peeve of mine.

There's no Flemish as a language, but there's is Flemish Dutch. It's exactly like saying we across the pond here speak 'merikun as opposed to American English or just English.

Predictable finish.

Omloop is a more selective course. All-rounders flourish there.

The Flemish don't say they speak Dutch, they speak Flemish. Vlaams <> Nederlands.

and the Empire strikes again... These British trackies are really gonna make mincemeat out of other teams' trains.

Surely their historical background with the Netherlands leads to aversion of having their language associated with that country, but I'm going with what linguists would say.

according to the Flemish Department of Foreign Affairs:

Quote:
Language: Dutch Official Language The border between the Germanic and Romanesque cultures in Europe cut small Belgium in half. In the north of Belgium (Flanders), the inhabitants speak Dutch; in the south (Wallonia), they speak French. Brussel, the capital inhabited by both cultures, is located in the middle of federal Belgium. Finally, there is the small German-speaking Community in the southeast of the country.
