Extending SKU is expensive. So is pushing your brand and pushing into new markets. It's just damn hard to establish the brand, even with the best quality, superior products. I'm trying though. And I can definitely empathize with Ibex's plight and issues. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk

I didn't know that they were based in WRJ - if I had I would have made more of an effort to check them out when I needed stuff. That's a shame.

I placed an order a few days ago. I have not received a shipping notification, or anything other than a order confirmation. Anyone else in this boat? (I’m used to already having stuff delivered...thanks a lot Amazon!)

I'm giving them a break as they are probably a bit overwhelmed. I'm confident it will come in due time. Haha Thanks Amazon! |

Maybe they’ll get so many orders they can stay in business.

Companies like Pendleton, Filson, and Ibex make or used to make high quality clothing from expensive natural materials right here in the USA. Once they started listening to the fancy MBA boys, they outsourced stuff to China and Sri Lanka and many consumers saw a drop off in quality. I think Filson learned their lesson and stuff is now made back in the USA entirely.
$400 or $500 jackets or $200 shirts have a limited market especially in our Walmart disposable society. Some still value quality and have the means. My 40 year old Mackinaw double cruiser got too big for me and I sold it for $225 on Fleebay. I have baggy Ibex merino wool jersey that is great for casual rides and I expect to have it till I die. I just bought some more Ibex and will be sad to see them go. |

I placed an order on Saturday night. Got a notice of shipment yesterday PM. It's all good. I believe I read that they had fewer employees on hand to push everything out the door.

Did anybody notice that this Ibex wool jacket on sale
http://www.mountaingear.com/webstore...ad=93106471335 is very similar to the pricey Rapha jacket featured in this thread? https://forums.thepaceline.net/showt...t=rapha+jacket Maybe it's not, but close enough for me, so I got one anyway. |

hasn't their stuff been made overseas for a long long time now? like a decade-15 years or so?
edit: also, why are they closing? the end of the trail letter on the site gave no details... |
